24-Year-Old Patient Suffers Brain Injury, Nurse Negligent | Ormond Beach Negligence Attorney

An appeals court recently upheld a $9.9 million verdict awarded to a 24-year-old woman who suffered a serious brain injury because of the negligence of her care provider. The woman was under the care of a nursing home firm for at-home care following a surgery.  Her nurse was unfamiliar with her morphine pump and caused the pump to activate six times in the first hours of use.  The woman suffered a permanent brain injury from this morphine error.
