A single-car crash left one Jacksonville man dead and a Jacksonville woman injured Monday night. Michael Pizzoferrato, 25, was a passenger in a car driven by Christina Pizzoferrato, 21. Around 5:45 p.m. Christina lost control of the vehicle near Palm Coast Parkway. The car entered the median and then flipped numerous times. Michael was killed in the crash. Christina suffered serious injuries and was transported to Halifax Health Medical Center.

A motorcycle crash last night left a 28-year-old man dead. The crash occurred on Conway Road around 10 pm. Motorcyclist, Christian Rios Candelaria, was not wearing a helmet when he crashed into a car driven by Garrett Beach, 19. Candelaria died from injuries sustained in the accident. Charges are pending.

A single vehicle accident sent a woman to the hospital in critical condition Wednesday. The victim, whose identity was not released, was driving on Nova Road when she lost control of her car. Witnesses reported the vehicle flipped numerous times, struck a pole and then landed in a ditch. The driver was thrown from the vehicle onto the grass. She was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center.

An accident involving a sport utility vehicle sent three people to the hospital. The victims were found in the overturned car on Dunlawton Avenue near Spruce Creek Road. All three passengers were taken to area hospitals, one with serious injuries. The identities of the victims and cause of the crash has not been released.

A vehicle crash on State Road 44 left one man with minor injuries and one man dead Saturday night. David Johnson, 40, was killed while trying to avoid a head on collision with a truck driven by John Yovaish, 19. Johnson was rounding a curve in Deland when Yovaish’s truck crashed into his vehicle. Johnson died of injuries suffered in the accident. Yovaish only suffered minor injuries. The wreck is under investigation.

A 23-year-old man from North Carolina was killed yesterday during a crash on I-95. The man, whose identity has not been released, was driving with a 38-year-old Florida man at the time. The sport utility vehicle the pair were passengers in lost control and flipped near State Road 421. They were both ejected. The Florida man was taken to Halifax Health Center in critical condition.
A 40-year-old man died Tuesday from a head injury after a vehicle driven by a co-worker struck him. William C. Morrison was hit by Chandrashekar Singh, 25, when Singh was backing up out of a parking space. Morrison was thrown to the ground and struck his head causing fatal injuries. The accident is under investigation.

A local Deland firefighter was killed in an accident early yesterday morning. Gary Obrien, 30, was off duty when he crashed into another vehicle while riding his motorcycle. Obrien died later at the hospital. The crash occurred on State Road 44 and Grimm Avenue.
A man whose identity has not been released was recently struck by a vehicle while crossing the road in a wheelchair. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The crash occurred on US-192 in Kissimmee. Authorities consider this an accident and do not plan to file charges.
The Florida Highway Patrol recently released numbers stating there were 8,000 traffic violations over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend in the state of Florida . Those cited for speeding totaled 6,000. Also, 157 arrests were made for driving under the influence.

A car chase in Tampa left one man dead this morning and two injured. Shannon J. Wiggins, 35, was speeding off when a police officer tried to pull him over for running a stop sign. In the middle of the chase, Wiggins ran a red light and struck two vehicles. Wiggins was killed in the crash and the other drivers were both injured.
An Orlando man, Terry Bass, was killed on Interstate-4 on Wednesday. Bass, 39, lost control of his motorcycle near Maitland Boulevard. He then got up from the crash and began to run across the interstate towards the median. While crossing the road, Bass was struck by a Ford Explorer driven by Robert Schaedel, 25. Bass suffered fatal injuries from the accident. Schaedel does not face any charges.

A crash this morning left one driver trapped in his vehicle after an accident with a box truck. The driver is in critical condition and was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center by helicopter.
