An unidentified 8-year-old boy is fighting for his life today at Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach.   The young child darted into the street in Flagler Beach when a car, driven by a local Ormond Beach man, hit him.  The boy was airlifted to the hospital and has sustained serious head injuries.  He is currently not breathing on his own.  No charges have been filed against the driver.  Speed or recklessness does not appear to be the cause of the accident.
