Authorities noted that alcohol was a factor in a wreck that killed two men.  Paul Durant, 57, was driving a Lincoln Continental on County Road 124 when he ran off the road and hit an oak tree.  His passengers included Gerald Ward, 56, Daniele Burke, 55 and Matthew Durant, 4. 

Durant and Ward were both trapped in the car for more than an hour and a half.  Ward and Burke died after the crash at Shands Hospital.  The 4-year-old child and Durant are also at Shands and in serious condition.
