Assisted Living Facility Staff Charged In Death Of Resident | Daytona Beach Nursing Home Injury Lawyer

A 79-year-old man died three days after his nursing home aide poured hot cereal down his throat. Alvador Thompson has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and neglect of a care dependent person.   Ronald Myers was taken to the hospital several hours after the incident because Thompson failed to report it in a timely manner.  Myers suffered serious burns in his mouth and throat and stopped eating. He passed away three days after the incident.
