Bicyclist Killed By Semi In Downtown Orlando

 

Several downtown Orlando intersections were shut down Monday afternoon after a semi-truck collided with a person on a bicycle, killing the bicyclist.

The collision occurred around 9:30am when a semi was heading eastbound on Church Street and making a right turn onto Hughey, heading southbound.

The bicyclist is identified as 46-year-old Elroy C. Daniel. The driver, 26-year-old Kenneth Thomas Carter III, works for Fulford Van and Storage Co., an Orlando-based business.

The accident is under investigation.
