A fatal crash occurred Sunday night on I-4 near Deltona. Ormond Beach resident, David Essig, 46, was driving when he attempted to switch lanes and lost control of his vehicle. Essig, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time, was ejected from the vehicle when it overturned. He was then flown to Halifax Health Medical Center where he died.
