A 29-year-old Cocoa man was killed this weekend while crossing the road. A hit-and-run driver struck Daniel Taunton on U.S. Highway 1 early Sunday morning. Taunton was crossing the road when the northbound SUV crashed into him. He died at the hospital from his injuries. The incident is under investigation.
