A Louisiana jury awarded a $2.1 million verdict in a medical negligence case.  Breanna Ellis was 13 when her doctor prescribed an antibiotic for her sinus infection. The antibiotic prescribed was not approved for this treatment.  As a result of the medication, the child lost 65 percent of her skin and underwent skin graft surgery.
