Daytona Beach Law Firm Rue & Ziffra Announces Medical Malpractice Settlement

Congratulations to the Daytona Beach personal injury law firm Rue & Ziffra for successfully settling a claim involving a 43-year-old woman and her orthopedic surgeon. Rue and Ziffra attorneys took the position that the doctor inappropriately chose to perform surgery on the woman's right elbow instead of continuing the cortisone shots and immobilization therapy.

The surgery resulted in a large infection which caused the woman to require two additional surgeries to repair the damage. However, the woman still developed complex regional pain syndrome which causes constant pain in the affected area from the nerves being continuously stimulated. The doctor settled the case for $190,000.
