A hit-and-run accident in Polk County left one man dead on U.S. Highway 27 Saturday night. The driver fled the scene but was later arrested and charged with DUI manslaughter. Luis Francisco Rivera, 19, was killed while walking on U.S. Highway 27 when he was hit by Edward Stewart, 51. Stewart left the scene of the accident but was found by authorities 2,200 feet down the road. He was taken to Polk County Jail.
