An accident on I-95 near State Road 44 killed one man yesterday.
Jeffrey Lee Simmons, of Port Orange, was thrown from his 2001 Ford Ranger when the truck flipped. Simmons was northbound when he veered off the road. He then overcorrected and the vehicle crashed. He was not wearing his seatbelt. Simmons died at the scene.
