DeLand Child Suffers Fatal Injuries After Accident | Volusia County Child Injury Attorney
A 6-year-old child was taken off life support Wednesday after a car accident on a family road trip to Idaho. Esperanza Sotelo, of DeLand, was with her family in Colorado when the car hit ice and crashed into a tractor trailer. The child’s mother, Yolanda Pitt-Garcia, 27, died in the accident. Esperanza was transported to Denver Children’s Hospital where she later died.
