A fatal car accident occurred Thursday night in Lake County. A DeLand resident was driving on State Road 44 near Tomahawk Trail when the vehicle left the road. The driver over-corrected and the car flipped, ejecting the driver. The victim, whose identity was not released, died at the scene of the crash.
