Did You Know? Texting While Driving | Deltona Accident Attorney

AAA in 2009 launched a national campaign to pass laws banning text messaging while driving in all 50 states. With 11 states having enacted these laws in 2010, there are now 30 states with laws prohibiting drivers of all ages from texting. AAA expects nearly every one of the 20 remaining states - including Florida -  to consider this legislation in 2011. At least three state representatives have filed distracted driving legislation for the 2011 Florida legislative session and other filings are expected. In 2010, the Legislature rejected or ignored all bills that would limit drivers’ use of cell phones and text messaging devices.

Texting and driving is more dangerous than drinking and driving.  Learn more to protect yourself from injury in this Deltona Accident Attorney article.
