Failed Background Checks At Retirement Community | Orange City Negligence Lawyer


A negligence lawsuit has been filed against a retirement community in New York after a resident had $40,000 worth of jewelry stolen.  A former housekeeper in the community, Amanda Card, has been indicted for stealing the jewelry.  Card was hired in 2007 after lying on her application and the community performed a criminal background check.  It was later discovered that Card had a history of multiple arrests for larceny as well has a charge for aggravated harassment.
