Hospital May Have Infected Patients With Rare Brain Disease | Daytona Beach Medical Malpractice Lawyer


A hospital recently notified 53 patients they are at risk of infection with a rare, fatal brain disease.  The hospital believes medical instruments used on this patient may have been infected with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease.  A patient at the hospital undergoing brain surgery recently found she had the disease.

CJD kills approximately 390 people per year in the United States.  Symptoms include dementia, memory loss and hallucination.
