Is the Intersection of I-95 and I-4 the most dangerous intersection in the Nation?

Since 2004, there have been 50 fatalities of car divers and their passengers on I-4 in Volusia County alone. Combine that with 69 fatalities caused by car crashes on I-95 since 2004 and you see why a website has published a report that states I-95 in Florida and I-4 in Florida are the 1st and 3rd most dangerous roads in the United States.  There are 382 miles of Interstate 95 in the state and 132 miles of Interstate 4.  Taking the fatal accidents and dividing them by the total miles, the rate was 1.73 for I-95 and 1.58 for I-4 ranking them first and third respectively in the U.S.

This may be caused by the amount of elderly divers in the area or the lack of continuous guardrails along the median but whatever the cause it is important to recognize that we drive along very dangerous roadways and we should be aware and very defensive.
