Longwood Hospital Settles Lawsuit | Orlando Medical Malpractice Attorney

A Sanford woman settled her lawsuit and will recieve an undisclosed sum from Orlando Regional Healthcare System.  Her two sons Matthew Edwards, 4, and, Jorge Mejia Valle, will also recieve a sum. Claudia Mejia Edwards was 27 when she was admitted to Orlando Regional South Seminole Hospital in Longwood to delive a healthy baby boy. While there she developed a flesh eating bacteria, known as Group A Streptococcal infection, and had to have all four limbs amputated.
