Man Suffers Brain Damage After Infection Misdiagnosed | Daytona Beach Medical Malpractice Lawyer

A man was recently awarded $3.5 million in a Pennsylvania medical malpractice case.  The man went to the hospital emergency room in 2007 where doctors performed a brain scan.  The scan showed three lesions.  After further testing, the doctors began to treat the patient for cancer even though lab results showed an infection present.   The lesions grew four fold in size resulting in serious brain damage to the patient.  Due to the doctors negligence the man now has trouble speaking and comprehending words.  The case states the man’s condition could have been avoided if the infection had been treated in the first place.

Learn the criteria medical providers must meet to treat you without your consent in this Daytona Beach Malpractice Attorney article.
