Motorcycle Accident in Orange County Leaves One Dead | Orlando Motorcycle Lawyer

An unamed 22-year-old Orlando motorcyclist was involved in a fatal accident with a car last night at about 7:30 p.m.. The motorcycle and rider were struck when they crossed in front of a car at Hoffner Avenue and Volusia Drive in east Orange County.

John Gonzalez, 40, of Oviedo was driving in the eastbound lane on Hoffner when the motorcycle in the  westbaound lane drove in front of him as Gonzalez turned his 2003 Mercedes left into a driveway. The motorcycle hit the car's side, throwing the rider into the air. The rider landed on the road's shoulder and the Mercedes ran into a fence.

The motorcycle rider, whose name is pending release until his family is notified, was wearing a helmet.  Gonzalez and his passenger, Mario Gonzalez, 28, of Orlando, received only minor injuries.
