New Device Helps Local Parkinson's Patient Walk Again | Orlando Medical Malpractice Attorney

The Orlando Regional Medical Center is now offering patients with Parkinson’s disease a new option of treatment that helped Michel Medina Gonzalez to regain his ability to walk and control his movements.  He recently received an implantable deep-brain-stimulation device that blocks signals for trembling felt by Parkinson’s patients.  The treatment voltage can be modified with a small wireless device when symptoms occur.

Gonzalez is the first in the country to use the newest version of the device.
