Nurse Having Relationship With Patient Loses License | DeLand Nursing Home Abuse Lawyer

An Oklahoma nurse had her license taken away for the next 20 years after having an inappropriate relationship with her patient.  Amber Van Brunt, 33, was a hospice nurse and admitted to having a sexual relationship with a married patient.  The nurse is appealing the nursing board’s decision saying the consensual relationship was not while she was on duty. The board’s attorney is saying, “It is the responsibility of the professional to say no to the vulnerable patient” and “The rules … do not mean simply while you are on shift.”

How can you protect your loved one in a nursing home from an assault by another resident? Learn more in this DeLand Nursing Home Abuse Lawyer video.
