Nursing Facility Fined $25,000 For Neglect | DeLand Nursing Home Abuse Lawyer

An Illinois nursing home was fined $25,000 this year for abuse and neglect of a patient.  The incident that prompted the fine occurred when a male resident came into a female resident’s room and pulled up her skirt.  The female, who had reported her fear of being sexually assaulted prior to this incident, screamed and the man left.  The home was fined for not properly performing background checks on residents before admitting them.
