Nursing Home and Hospital Sued After Patient's Death | Daytona Beach Nursing Home Abuse Attorney

A former resident's son is suing a nursing home facility and a hospital after the death of his mother in 2009.  The woman was in a West Virginia nursing home for physical and occupational therapy.  During her time there, her son says she suffered from malnutrition and dehydration.  The patient also developed pressure ulcers along with other wounds that continued to worsen.  She then developed acute renal failure from dehydration.  The patient was transported to the hospital where they allegedly failed to properly diagnose and treat a bowel perforation.  She died only a few months after entering the nursing home.
