Nursing Home Blames Hospital For Resident's Death | Ormond Beach Medical Malpractice Lawyer

A California nursing home is blaming Mercy Medical Center for the death of a resident.  Robert Nelson, 74, a resident of Shasta House, was taken to the Mercy with digestive problems.  The home explained to Mercy numerous times that Nelson had a feeding tube and could not ingest food orally.  Mercy has been accused of giving Nelson pills and water by mouth.  He later passed away from what reports state was aspiration pneumonia.  The autopsy report has not been released at this time.
