A woman who was admitted to a nursing home for a fractured hip died during her stay at the facility from a blood clot. Alice Goodwin died in 2009 at Rosewood Care Center of Swansea from a pulmonary embolism. Her family has filed a lawsuit against the facility claiming it was negligent in her care and treatment. The lawsuit also says the home failed to provide 24-hour nursing and to timely notify the physician of changes in Goodwin’s condition.
