A nursing home in Orange County, California has been sued for the wrongful death of a resident. Oliver Shrock, a former resident of the facility, died in 2008 after a fall from his bed. Schrock was a resident for only 2 months before the incident.
The nursing home has been accused of negligence in failing to protect the man. His bed alarm was not used at all times and was not in use on the day of his fall. The nursing home has also been fined $85,000.
