A Georgia nursing home has been accused of negligence and improper care in a lawsuit filed against them.  The lawsuit was filed after the death of an 82-year-old resident.

The woman was only at the facility for approximately three months before she died from severe infections.  During her stay she was transported to the hospital because the pressure ulcers she had developed became infected.  The hospital then amputated her leg before she returned to the nursing home.  The resident later suffered other infections and died in 2008.
