Nursing Home Resident Dies Of Infection | Ormond Beach Nursing Home Attorney

A jury recently awarded $400,000 to Marlene Owens, 76, after the death of her stepfather.  John Donahue died in 2005 after suffering a serious eye injury in the nursing home he was in.   Donahue was injured by a metal hook when a nursing home employee tried to move him from his bed.  According to investigation, the machine used to move Donahue needed to be operated by two employees. Donahue died from an infection 46 days after the incident.
