Nursing Home Resident Dies, Staff Did Not Respond In Time | Deltona Nursing Home Abuse Lawyer

A nursing home resident recently died in Minnesota from cardio-respiratory failure.  The staff at the nursing home failed to respond fast enough when the woman began having breathing problems.  A fax was sent to inform a doctor but was never followed up on.  The next night when the woman’s condition had worsened an ambulance was called multiple times, with no mention of it being an emergency, and did not arrive until more than an hour later.  The patient went into cardiac arrest and died shortly after the ambulance arrived.  Since the incident, the nursing home has established policies in place for staff to prevent future negligence.

Learn how to prevent injuries to your loved one in a nursing home facility by reducing their risk of falling.  Read this Deltona nursing home abuse lawyer article for more information.
