Nursing Home Resident Suffers Burns From Cigarette Fire | Flagler Nursing Home Abuse Attorney

A resident of a Texas nursing home suffered burns from a fire caused by her cigarette.  The 83-year-old woman was outside the nursing home smoking without supervision.  She was burned on her face and hands, when she dropped the cigarette onto her clothes and it burst into flames.  The nursing home did not have a policy to monitor residents while smoking although residents should be monitored in these situations.
