Nursing Home Sued In Alleged Sex Attack | Daytona Beach Nursing Malpractice Attorney

A lawsuit was filed against a nursing home for failing to protect a 69-year-old woman from being sexually assaulted by a 21-year-old mentally ill resident. The 21-year-old, Christopher Shelton, was missing at bed check and a nurse later found him in the elderly woman's room after hearing the victim crying. Shelton had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. The lawsuit was filed in Cook County Circuit Court.
