An 89-year-old woman died from injuries sustained after she fell down the stairs in a nursing home last year.  A lawsuit has been filed against the facility for wrongful death, elderly abuse and negligence.  The patient, Carrie Delay, suffered from Alzheimer’s disease and required a wheelchair.  Delay sustained serious injuries to her spine and other injuries from the fall and died a week later.  The lawsuit claims the staff at the home failed to properly monitor Delay, resulting in the accident.
