Patient Dies After Nursing Home Outing | Deltona Nursing Home Abuse Attorney

An elderly patient died last year after a nursing home outing in Iowa.  The nursing home has now been fined $10,000 by Iowa health officials.  The 97-year-old was thrown out of her wheelchair when the van she was in came to a sudden stop.  The staff was negligent by failing to fasten her seatbelt.  She died days later from heart failure caused by blood loss and a broken leg.
