A 52-year-old pedestrian was crossing the road Monday night when a vehicle hit her. Angela Purcell was not in the crosswalk while crossing North Ridgewood Avenue near North Street. A southbound vehicle driven by Christopher Holloway, 30, of Mount Dora, hit Purcell around 11 p.m. Purcell was pronounced dead at Halifax Health Medical Center. The accident is under investigation.
