A car crash last week left one woman injured and killed her fetus.  Janet Douglass, 26, was hospitalized at Halifax Health Medical Center after the accident.

Douglass, of South Daytona, was driving on Reed Canal Road when she crossed over the centerline and into the path of Susan McDonald, 35.  McDonald, of New Smyrna Beach, was not injured in the crash.  No charges are pending but the accident is under investigation.
