A 19-year-old female driver in Jacksonville struck a man on a scooter around 3 a.m. Thursday.  The identities of those involved have not been released at this time.

The woman's car hit the victim on Beach Boulevard then dragged the scooter a short way before leaving the scene.  She later returned voluntarily with her mother.  The man suffered serious injuries and was taken to Shands Jacksonville for treatment.
