According to the World Health Organization, swine flu has infected 27,737 people in 74 countries since April, resulting in a total of 141 deaths.  Recently the W.H.O raised alerts to its highest level for the first time in 41 years.

The alert has prompted drug companies to escalate making the vaccine. The W.H.O director says this flu is moderate and a majority of patients have recovered.  Unlike other flues, the swine flu has not had an overwhelming effect on those very young and old. Most victims have been under the age of 25.
