A 17-year-old girl was taken to the hospital after being struck by a car on Avalon Park Boulevard this morning. The teenager, whose identity has not been released, was hit near Timber Springs Boulevard while riding her bicycle. She was transported to Florida Hospital East with injuries. Authorities are investigating the accident.
