Widow Awarded $1.2 Million In Malpractice Case | Daytona Beach Medical Malpractice Attorney

A Pennsylvania jury has awarded the widow of Michael Scarpa $1.2 million.  Scarpa died in 1999, days after a hospital sent him home. Scarpa had arrived in the emergency room complaining of vomiting and chest pains.  He was told to take cough medicine and see his primary physician. Due to the negligence of the hospital and doctors he died two days later.  An ulcerated esophagus causing sepsis was confirmed as the cause of death.
