A woman was killed while riding her bicycle early Thursday morning. It was around 6:30 a.m. when Anna Newman, 63, was hit by a car driven by Allan Bessette, 75. Newman and Bessette were both heading north on Magnolia Avenue when the crash occurred. Newman was taken to Halifax Heatlh Medical Center where she died. No charges are currently pending against Bessette in the crash. The incident is under investigation.
