Woman Sues Hospital After MRI | Ormond Beach Medical Malpractice Attorney


A woman and her husband plan to sue a Boston hospital after she contracted a rare syndrome that could have been prevented.  The woman, who suffers from kidney problems, was on dialysis when doctors gave her an MRI with gadolinium-based contrast.  The FDA published warnings in 2006 and 2007 to prevent this contrast from being used in patients with kidney problems.  As a result of the hospital’s alleged negligence, the patient now suffers from nephrogenic systemic fibrosis caused by the contrast.
